The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) wants to fill two positions. One is a Medical Director to oversee medical services and the other position is a Primary Care Physician. Both position will provide diagnostic and therapeutic medical services to developmentally disabled clients of the Beatrice State Developmental Disabilities Center (BSDC), located in southeast
BSDC, a residential facility within the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, provides on-site intensive, 24-hour habilitative and medical services to approximately 300 Nebraskans with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. BSDC takes pride in utilizing the best practices when working with people having developmental disabilities and when helping the individuals realize their full potential.
Included within the BSDC Medical Services function are other medical staff (physicians, dentist, physician assistants, advanced practice registered nurse), a hospital and outpatient clinic, laboratory, pharmacy, and specialty medical consultants.
BSDC provides nursing and therapy services through BSDC nursing staff and developmental therapy staff skilled in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech and audiology services.
