The Metro Omaha Medical Society has free information and DouglasRx Prescription Discount Cards available to Douglas County physicians.
The Douglas Rx Prescription Disount Card is a joint effort of Douglas County and the National Association of Counties (NACo). This program is not insurance, but rather a program that provides patients and their family members with an average savings of 20% on prescriptions not covered by insurance when purchased at participating pharmacies.
EASY.
Patients simply present their card at any participating retail pharmacy to receive the discounts on their prescription. And finding a participating pharmay is easy since 8 out of 10 pharmacies nationwide accept the cards.
NO LIMITS.
Patients and their family members may use the prescription discount card any time their precription is not covered by insurance. There are no restrictions and no limits on how many times they may use the card.
EXTRA SAVINGS.
As part of the program, patients will also be eligible for higher discounts on select medications, as well as high-tech and injectable drugs.
