METRO OMAHA MEDICAL SOCIETY:
Serving physicians and improving community health for more than 150 years.

Founded in 1866, the Metro Omaha Medical Society is a professional organization of physicians built upon collegiality and collaboration for the benefit of physicians, the practice of medicine and the health of our community.

Mission Statement:

The Metro Omaha Medical Society is dedicated to serving as physician advocates; helping physicians serve as patient advocates; promoting the ethics and the art and science of the profession of medicine; ensuring access to quality health care; improving the general health of the community and improving the collegiality of its member physicians.

Our member physicians benefit from opportunities to network and collaborate with physicians representing every specialty and practice environment, access to our innovative physician education and practice management resources, leadership programming and opportunities, efforts to positively impact provider wellness, and gain the information needed to navigate the rapidly changing health care environment. In addition, the Society represents the unified voice of physicians legislative health care issues through its advocacy efforts while providing physicians opportunities to also have their individual voices heard.

Our membership includes physicians practicing in the Metro Omaha area including those practicing in Douglas and Sarpy counties in Nebraska and Pottawattamie county in Iowa.  Physicians outside those areas may join by request.
