Mary E. Vandenack, J.D., AC TEC, CAP®, COLPM®, Accredited Estate Planner® (Distinguished) is a highly regarded practitioner in the areas of tax, trusts and estates, private wealth planning, asset protection planning, business exit planning, and philanthropic strategies. Mary also has expertise in mental health law and professional licensing. Mary’s practice serves businesses and business owners, executives, real estate developers and investors, philanthropists, health care providers, companies in the financial industry, and tax-exempt organizations.  Mary also routinely consults with other attorneys on complex matters. Mary is Nebraska State Chair in ACTEC. Mary has served in numerous roles, including chair of the ABA Law Practice Division and as a Delegate in the American Bar Association for the Real Property Trust and Estate Section.  Mary has been named to ABA LTRC Distinguished Women of Legal Tech, received the James Keane Award for e-lawyering, and serves on ABA Standing Committee on Information and Technology Systems and Cybersecurity Task Force. Mary serves on the Legislative Committee for the Nebraska State Bar Association and addresses legislation in tax, trusts, estates and real property. Mary has also been involved in the Uniform Law Commission addressing such issues as Uniform Health Care Directives and Conflict of Laws in Trusts and Estates. Mary is a frequent writer and speaker on tax, benefits, asset protection planning, and estate planning topics as well as on practice management topics including improving the delivery of legal services and artificial intelligence in the practice of law. She is a longtime commentator for Leimberg Services.
