Each year the MOMS Foundation selects a single non-profit organization or program to receive this grant. The Metro Omaha Medical Society Foundation matches up to the first $5,000 in donations to the Match Program.
The Furniture Project is this year’s recipient of the MOMS Foundation Match Grant. The MOMS Foundations will match up to the first $5000 in donations to the Match Program. The donation deadline is Friday, January 16, 2026. Funds will be presented to The Furniture Project at the MOMS Annual Meeting on January 21, 2026.
ABOUT THE FURNITURE PROJECT:
The Furniture Project connects people through the thoughtful redistribution of community resources, ensuring every household has the furniture needed to rest, recover, and thrive. They honor the inherent value and potential of every individual, fostering solidarity and dignity across our community.
The organization provides furniture to families and individuals served by more than 225 social service agencies—including those aging out of foster care, victims of violent crime or domestic violence, refugees, people experiencing homelessness, and others living in poverty. All furniture is donated by members of the public and delivered with the help of dedicated volunteers.
HOW YOUR DONATION WILL BE USED:
Your donation to The Furniture Project will provide up to 110 cribs and mattresses, designed to grow with children into toddler and twin beds. By supporting this effort, you’re helping promote safe sleep practices and giving families a foundation for healthy rest.
