Connect with MOMS leadership and your fellow members by Zoom.  This meeting we will welcome Dr. Deb Esser, MOMS Foundation president and Scott Hazelrigg, President of NorthStar Foundation and Omaha Outward Bound School to hear more about this year’s MOMS Foundation Match Grant recipient and their founding vision to dramatically increase the proportion of male students in North Omaha who graduate high school on time, positioned to begin post-secondary education or immediately enter the workforce. By employing a model of high-touch, multi-year extended learning, they focus on accelerating core academic and social-skill competencies of every young man they serve.

She truly believes laughter is the best medicine, but likes to cover her bases as a board-certified practicing physician in Internal Medicine too..

MOMS Retired Physicians Meeting – Offutt’s Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency

Join us as we welcome Traci L. Van Deest, PhD, D-ABFA, a Forensic Anthropologist at the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency at Offutt Laboratory. She will speak about her work conducting laboratory analyses and leading scientific recovery operations in the search, recovery, and identification of Missing-in-Action (MIA) personnel from past U.S. conflicts

Dr. Van Deest began work as a Forensic Anthropologist at the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency in 2015.  She conducts laboratory analyses and leads scientific recovery operations in the search, recovery, and identification of missing personnel from past U.S. conflicts.  Traci earned her MA at California State University, Chico in 2007 and her PhD at the University of Florida in 2014.  After completion of her doctorate, Dr. Van Deest served as the Forensic Anthropology Postdoctoral Fellow at the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner in Arizona.  Dr. Van Deest is an active member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and recently earned Diplomate status with the American Board of Forensic Anthropology.
